Should I stay? or should I go?

Your Body Already Knows

“Should I stay or should I go?”

This is one of the most common questions people bring into my sessions, whether they say it out loud or not. Sometimes it’s about a relationship. Sometimes it’s a business partnership, a job, a contract, or a role they’ve quietly outgrown.

Most people already know the answer.

What they’ve learned to do instead… is downplay the warning signs their body has been giving them.

  • Headaches.

  • Pain in the back, shoulders, or hips.

  • Toe pain that won’t resolve.

  • Digestive issues that seem to come out of nowhere.

  • Chronic fatigue. A heaviness that doesn’t lift.

These are not abstract examples. These are real symptoms my clients come in with often after months or years of trying to “push through” something that never quite felt right.

When the Body Speaks Before the Mind Is Ready

When someone comes to me wanting to work on digestion, or persistent pain, or inflammation, one of the first things I ask is:

When did this start?

It’s not always easy to pinpoint. But almost always, there is a moment, or a season, where emotion began to live in the tissues. Where something shifted internally, even if the person told themselves everything was “fine.”

Pain doesn’t arrive randomly.

It arrives when something has gone unspoken, unacknowledged, or unresolved.

A Story About Digestion, Control, and Clearing the Field

One client came to me wanting help with digestive issues. They were convinced it was physical, even asking about parasites.

I told them something I often share: if we’re going to cleanse the physical body, we also have to address what’s happening energetically and emotionally.

When we went in to do the work, what surfaced surprised them, but in the best way.

As they began talking about their business, a specific person kept coming up. My body lit up with information. I asked if we could remove this person’s influence from their field.

The answer was an immediate yes.

As I cleared their solar plexus, the center of confidence and personal power, this person’s influence showed up not just there, but in the heart as well. Without me naming it, my client felt the same sensations and releases happening in real time.

They had long-standing pain on the left side of their body. The person creating the most tension and irritation in their life? A woman. Someone who wanted control. Someone whose priorities and values didn’t align with theirs.

Once that disturbance was cleared and their field was sealed, I asked them to think about this person again. To try to access the anger or frustration.

They couldn’t.

It was gone.

And then .. as it often happens… the person called.

My client noticed something immediately: they were calm. Neutral. No charge in the body. The relationship still existed in a working capacity, but now it was tolerable. Manageable. Boundaries became clearer and easier to hold.

Nothing was forced. Their body simply stopped carrying what wasn’t theirs.

A Toe That Told the Truth

Another client came in with a very specific intention: to clear pain in her left toe.

As a new client, she wasn’t fully comfortable yet and that’s okay. Trust takes time. We stayed present, open, and grounded.

As the session unfolded, she began talking about a shift in her business. I noticed tightness in her throat as we discussed prior contracts, especially one she agreed to out of courtesy, even though it didn’t feel aligned.

She worked for free. And then was told everything her client didn’t like.

As she spoke about this, her toe pain flared.

Of course it did.

That person was still living in her body.

We worked on clearing the influence of that client, what the dynamic mirrored from childhood, and the beliefs that taught her to give from obligation rather than alignment. She still gets to act from love… but now, from her values.

When that disturbance was removed from her physical and energetic body, the pain disappeared.

Just like the previous client, when she tried to access the discomfort again by thinking about the person and nothing was there.

Days later, she called me.

She had run into that same client unexpectedly. Almost immediately, her body responded: loss of appetite, a headache. Her body was clear and now it was communicating in real time.

She left the venue.

As soon as she did, the headache lifted. She was guided to a restaurant filled with warmth, kindness, and ease.

Her body showed her the way forward.

She later said something that stayed with me:

“I want everyone to know about you — but I don’t want you to be too busy to see me.”

That awareness changed how she now chooses who and what gets access to her energy.

This Isn’t About One Relationship

It’s About Returning to Yourself

These experiences aren’t about “bad people” or dramatic exits.

They’re about values.

  • When we live out of alignment with our values

  • when we override our intuition,

  • minimize our needs,

  • or stay where our body feels unsafe

Our system responds.

This is part of what I teach within Alignment Codes: learning how to decode your emotions, beliefs, protections, and values so you can live from internal alignment rather than external expectation.

Not chasing happiness like we were taught, but uncovering the one that already exists within you.

Often this shows up early in dating, business, friendships long before something becomes “serious.”

And when we finally leave, people say things like:
“You seem different.”
“Lighter.”
“More yourself.”

That’s not because something new was added.

It’s because you returned to your sovereign self.

If You’re Stuck in the In-Between

So what about the moments where you’re not sure whether to stay or go?

This is where many people live especially people pleasers, caretakers, and those in transition.

When we stay too long, we often:

  • Ignore our intuition

  • Diminish our self-confidence

  • Allow others’ beliefs to overshadow our own knowing

  • Prevent others from learning the lessons they’re here to learn

  • Leak time, money, energy, and life force without true reciprocation

If this resonates, let these questions land in your body, not your mind, let your heart do the talking instead of your head:

  • When I imagine staying in this situation, what does my body do?

  • When I imagine creating space or distance, does my body soften or tense?

  • Where do I feel this in my body? Is it heavy or light? How long has it lived there?

  • Do I feel more like myself before or after interacting with this person or situation?

  • What value of mine feels compromised here? (get your free values quiz results in under 5 minutes here)

  • Am I staying because it’s aligned? or because it’s familiar and safe?

  • If nothing changed for six more months, how would my body feel?

  • What version of me exists on the other side of clarity?

  • Who was I before I started carrying this?

You don’t need to answer these all at once.

Awareness is the beginning.

An Invitation

If you’re reading this and recognizing yourself, especially if your body feels tired, inflamed, or heavy, you don’t have to sort this out alone.

My 1:1 sessions are for people who already sense what’s misaligned, but want support clearing the noise, restoring their center, and making decisions from their sovereign self, not from obligation, fear, or exhaustion.

This isn’t about fixing a relationship.

It’s about coming home to yourself and letting your body lead the way.

If this resonates, you can explore 1:1 sessions or learn more about Alignment Codes as a deeper self-guided layer of this work.

Your body already knows.

Sometimes you just need support listening.
